This article explains how you can have your data deleted from YAMM’s database. As a YAMM user, you may request us to remove your data either under your GDPR Right to be forgotten (also called as Right to Erasure) or because you no longer want to use YAMM.
What data of yours is stored in YAMM?
YAMM stores your account data for the core of its functionality. That includes your email address and the metadata of your mail merge documents. These are essential data for YAMM, to be able to assist you with sending emails in bulk.
As a Data Processor (in GDPR terminology), YAMM only stores this minimal data of its users (Data Controllers). We never store or access their recipient lists in which they have their subscribers information.
What is your Right to be forgotten (Right to erasure) as per GDPR?
GDPR says that, as a Data Controller, you have the right to have your personal data erased and to prevent from further processing by your Data Processor (in this case, YAMM).
In compliance towards article 17 from GDPR, we must delete all your personal data at your request.
When can you ask to get your data deleted from YAMM?
Deleting your data, which is necessary for YAMM to provide its service, will interrupt its functionality. So you may request to get your data deleted, only if you have decided to stop using YAMM for your bulk emailing needs.
How to get your data from YAMM deleted?
You can send us your request for deletion of your data. We will permanently delete them from our database and send you a confirmation on the same.
Can you delete your data from YAMM, by yourself?
Does revoking access delete your data from YAMM automatically?
At any point in time, you may review the permissions you have granted for YAMM under the Security settings of your Google account. In case you have decided to revoke your authorizations for YAMM, it will prevent YAMM from accessing any data of yours, and it will stop YAMM’s functionality entirely.
Does removing/uninstalling the add-on delete your data from YAMM automatically?
YAMM archives this data even after the removal, mainly to restrict our users from switching between various occasional offers/discounts on our paid plans. This restriction is critical to the success of our business and to be able to continue improving and providing support for the app.

Can we help you unsubscribe from the mailing list of a YAMM user?
While YAMM is helping our users to send bulk emails on their behalf, YAMM never stores or has access to our users’ recipient lists (in which your email address is a part of).
How to unsubscribe/get your data removed from the mailing list of a YAMM user?
As the provider of an email marketing/personalization service, we support and rely on Gmail’s anti-spam policy and strive to educate our users about not spamming. We also educate them to get opt-ins from their subscribers.
However, as an individual (or a data subject in the EU’s GDPR context), if someone, or a company, uses YAMM to send you an email without your consent, we suggest that you report it to them directly. You can also click on the unsubscribe link (if made available) or mark it as spam:
