Your daily quota depends on whether you have a Google Workspace or a Gmail account and which Yet Another Mail Merge plan you purchased.
YAMM plan | Google account type | Recipients quota |
---|---|---|
Personal plan | Gmail | 400 per user per 24 hours |
Professional plan | Google Workspace in a free trial or warm-up period | 400 per user per 24 hours |
Professional plan | Google Workspace confirmed | 1500 per user per 24 hours |
Your daily quota also depends on other criteria, such as:
- If you send a test email. Learn more: Email preview: Email preview: Receive a test email before starting your mail merge
- If you send emails, including personalized attachments. Learn more: Send a mail merge with personalized attachments to each recipient
- If you send emails from another account by using an alias. Learn more: Use an alias / Send from another email address
Google handles the quota, and they can limit any accounts at any time for their own reasons. Learn more: Gmail sending limits in Google Workspace
How is the quota computed?
Your quota depends on the number of recipients you send emails to and not the number of emails sent. For example, if you send one email to one recipient with two recipients in cc in the same email, YAMM counts three emails sent. Learn more: Add cc or bcc recipients in your emails.
If you have a Gmail account or a Google Workspace account/domain (free, individual or Enterprise+ plan), Google checks the number of recipients you sent emails to within the last 24 hours and applies a sending limit over a rolling 24-hour period (not a set time of day).
However, Google may reset the quota earlier or a bit later than expected.
Recipients quota for emails with attachments
YAMM plan | Google account type | Recipient quota with attachments |
---|---|---|
Personal plan |
Gmail | 100 / 24 hours |
Professional plan |
Google Workspace in a free trial or warm-up period | 100 / 24 hours |
Professional plan |
Google Workspace confirmed | 1,500 / 24 hours |
Gmail.com accounts
If you buy a YAMM license for a gmail.com account, your quota is 400 recipients per 24 hours.
Google Workspace accounts and domains
Google offers a free trial period for new Google Workspace accounts, which lasts 14 days. After the trial period, your Google Workspace account is in a warm-up period. During these first two stages, your account has a limited quota of 400 recipients per rolling 24 hours.
Learn more about how the free trial and warm-up periods work: Why is your quota lower than expected?
After the free trial and warm-up periods, your account becomes a full capacity Google Workspace account that can send up to 1,500 recipients per 24 hours.
If you buy an Enterprise+ plan, the quota of 1,500 recipients per 24 hours is per user in the same domain.
